Technology

     Technology at Roxboro Community School is a work in progress.

     A new lab at Roxboro Community School now exist with twenty-two state of the art computers.  Each computer has a flat screen monitor and a XP platform with MicroSoft products which include Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher.  The computers use USB flash drives and CD burners to save documents.

     Technology Courses taught are Computer Technology and Computer Applications I with plans for other courses under construction.

     Our goal is for every student at RCS to incorporate technology into each curriculum area through the use of lap top computers.

     Roxboro Community School also has the capability of wireless Internet throughout the building.  The technology plan was designed with the help of Randy King from Electronic Solutions and Mayor Steve Joyner.

     Each teacher at Roxboro Community School has a computer in their classroom.  NC Wise is being used to record grades and to keep track of student progress.
