Welcome to the North Carolina Virtual Public School

"Virtual learning is about options. To compete in a global economy, kids need to learn in the classroom, on a computer, and through other technologies. A virtual public school means students have access to high quality teaching and learning regardless of their zip code.."
Lt. Governor Bev Perdue

Chairman of the Business Education Technology Alliance

"A child in the far reaches of our state who does not have access to rigorous course work is at a significant disadvantage; a virtual school can help rectify this."
Howard Lee
Chairman, NC State Board of Education

The North Carolina Virtual Public School is part of the public schools of North Carolina. For more information on North Carolina's Public Schools visit the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction.
