Prom Tickets for Sale
Prom is this Saturday, April 26. Tickets are now for sale for $20 each. They may be purchased in the lobby during lunch.

Art Display
On Wednesday, April 23, from 3:45-5:30 p.m.  RCS Art 2, 3, and 4 student work will be showcased at the Person County Farmer's Market on North Madison Boulevard. Select pieces will be for sale. Come check it out!

New NCSSM Offerings
Registration is still open for tuition-free courses from the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics (NCSSM). The

2014-2015 offerings, which include courses like Honors Genetics and Biotechnology, Honors Aerospace and Engineering, Honors Physics, and AP Calculus.

High School Chorus Class to be Offered
RCS is seeking recruits for a new High School Chorus class, led by Mrs. Morgan, that will begin next yearMrs. Morgan plans to allow students the chance to help pick songs for warm-ups and performance.  A wide range of music will be practiced, such as pop, R & B, gospel, classic rock, alternative, folk, country, jazz, and classical choral pieces. The Chorus I class will be geared toward learning how to sing in a healthy manner, increasing the number of notes one can sing
 and learning how to read music. No experience is necessary -- the group will start from scratch, and members will have a good time sharing their love of music with others. Quite a few young ladies have already signed up
 and more are welcome. Young men are highly encouraged to sign up as well. All interested students are asked to please consider joining this dynamic new class. 
Cap and Gown Photo Date Change
Cap and Gown pictures will 
not be taken on April 22. An alternate date has not been set. Seniors and parents will be notified of the new date.
Eighth Grade Ceremony Date Change
The date of the Eighth Grade Advancement Ceremony has been changed from April 28 to May 5, from 6 to 8 p.m. Parent volunteers are needed to help make the ceremony a huge success. For more information, contact Teresa Fox at 336-504-0610.

RCS Bands at Mayo
RCS Bands will perform their Spring Concert on May 10 , at 6 p.m. at Mayo Lake Amphitheater. Seventh Grade Band, Eighth Grade Band, High School Concert Band and Jazz will perform. The concert is a free event. 
Blood Drive Coming Up

Coaching Vacancy
RCS is seeking a volunteer to serve as head coach of the girls' high school basketball team. The position begins immediately, so that the coach can work with the team this summer. Corn Hole Tournament/ Spring Fling
On Friday May 2the FFA will host a second cornhole tournament in conjunction with the PTSO Spring Fling from 4 to 7 p.m. The entry fee for a middle school team is $10; a high school team is $16 and an adult team is $24. Please pick up an entry form from Mrs. Lunsford or from Mrs. Beeker or Mrs. Weaver at the front desk. Refreshments will be sold and music provided, Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy!!! The deadline to sign up is April 30.
Golf Tournament
The annual RCS Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday,  May 10 at Roxboro Country Club. There will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m . Lunch will be provided. Start signing up teams now. The registration is $40 for RCC members and $50 for non-members. This fundraiser goes toward our athletic program to buy equipment and pay for referees, etc. Anyone who owns a business, and  would like to advertise, may sponsor a hole for $100.
