2010-2011 Application

Roxboro Community School is a tuition-free open enrollment public charter school. Students are accepted on a first-come first-served basis regardless of academic record. If more students apply than there is room then students are admitted by lottery.

Roxboro Community School students are successful because parental involvement is promoted and encouraged. Teachers are given the tools to be innovative and to inspire excellence. Students are expected to come to school ready to learn and work hard.

Teachers are available to students for homework help. Students are held accountable for their academic success and a safe and encouraging learning environment is respected by all.

Fill out an enrollment form and return by the deadline

1. To apply for enrollment the parent or legal guardian must complete the application form and return it to the school office by the deadline stated on the application. If an application is received after the deadline the student will automatically be placed on the waiting list. (Applications for the 2010-2011 school year will be available online beginning January 15, 2010 and hardcopies will be available at RCS, the Person County Public Library, the Chamber of Commerce and Bethel Hill Charter School beginning January 19, 2010
2. Once a student is notified of acceptance, the completed registration forms must be returned by the stated deadline. We must receive confirmation and complete forms in order to enroll your student. If we do not receive the forms by the deadline we will be forced to cancel the student application and give the placement to the next student on the waiting list.
   

If the number of students who wish to attend Roxboro Community School exceeds the school’s capacity, enrollment will be determined by a public random drawing. You need not be present to secure the opportunity for placement. Families will be notified the status of acceptance and be given a deadline to respond.

Roxboro Community School is a tuition-free public school. All families who are interested in a college-preparatory education for their children are welcome to apply.
