Big news! Roxboro Community School has received a 10-year charter renewal! This is the longest term available for charter schools, and RCS was one of 20 that received it this year.
In order to receive this renewal, RCS provided financially sound audits, had student academic outcomes that are comparable to those of local LEAs (Local Education Agencies) and is in compliance with state law, federal law, and the school’s bylaws.
“Thank you to all of RCS's Board of Directors, parents, students, personnel and the community,” Managing Executive Director, Darkarai Bryant said. “This 10 year renewal is a testament to the hard work of the whole school community present and past. We continue to build upon what our founding board members began with RCS's opening in 2006, and it's a personal privilege to be a part of the Bulldog Family. This ‘work’ is not a destination. It's a journey, but this milestone is definitely one to celebrate.”
