Happy Law Enforcement Appreciation Day! We want to give a special shoutout to our incredible School Resource Officer, Ty Whitlow. Officer Whitlow is a mentor and a protector here at RCS. From ensuring our safety to offering guidance and support, his dedication to our school community makes a real difference every single day. We are so grateful for the hard work, compassion, and commitment he brings to his role. Thank you, Officer Whitlow, for all you do!

Bulldog Designs started the new year off by making edible bird wreaths from recycled Christmas wreaths! Beautiful job, Bulldogs!

Last night, Christian Ingram and Elana Ingram were inducted into the RCS Sports Hall of Fame. The siblings both had impressive basketball careers at RCS, breaking multiple records during their time here. Tonight they were both honored in between our varsity games and Elana’s jersey was retired. We are proud of these two outstanding alumni and the impact they left on our school community. Congratulations!

The day will include 4 classes with an informal showing at the end of the day and is open to 3rd through 12th graders! It is $115 if you register by December 31 and then $125 if you register later. RCS seeks knowledgeable, passionate, and experienced coaches to help build our Bulldog athletic programs. Successful candidates must enjoy working with student-athletes, possess the ability to take initiative, and demonstrate a strong work ethic while maintaining a positive attitude. Open enrollment is currently underway and we have a few important enrollment events coming up! Each year we ask our art students to submit a design for our holiday card. We are always impressed by what our students create! The annual RCS Fine Arts Holiday Coffeehouse will be on Wednesday, December 11 at 7 p.m. in the MPR! Come and see amazing artwork from our visual art students and enjoy performances by our dance, theater, and chorus students, all while enjoying coffee and dessert! Any cash donations that are made will go to help benefit Western North Carolina.
