
Summer Basketball Open Gym Opportunities For HS Women Basketball Players (Rising 9th-12th graders)
We need you! Do you want to work on your basketball game over the summer? We have the perfect opportunities for you! Open gym for any high school girls interested in playing next season will be offered on the dates and times listed below:
Monday, June 5, 1:30-3:30 pm at RCS
Monday, June 26, 1:30- 3:30 pm at RCS
Monday, July 9, 1:30-3:30 pm at RCS

This morning we held our 8th Grade Advancement Ceremony. We are #BulldogProud of our 8th grade students and all their growth and accomplishments this school year!





The middle school students celebrated the end of the year at the RCS Block Party! Students enjoyed a morning full of fun, food, and friends! Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who helped make it all possible.





Attention RCS students in Driver Education! There will be an Eye Exam on Tuesday, June 20, from 3:30 to 5 pm and on Tuesday, July 25, from 3:30 to 5 in the cafeteria at Person High School .

There will be a Middle School Cheerleading interest meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, May 23, from 12:30 to 12:45 pm in Mrs. Lewis's room. Current sixth and seventh graders interested in participating next year should attend.

NCHSAA 3rd Round Soccer Playoffs
Roxboro Community School will play at Hobbton High School Monday, May 22, at 6 pm. The admission fee is $7.


Two of our RCS students are spending three evenings this week being Minnie and Mickey Mouse for Long Memorial Preschool's graduation events. Community service can be so much fun!



NCHSAA 2nd Round Women’s Soccer Playoffs
Roxboro Community School will play at Bear Grass Charter School on Thursday, May 18, at 6 pm. The admission fee is $7.


We are so #bulldogproud of our Middle School Battle of the Books students! They read 16 books from different genres.


A brief high school coed cross country interest meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 17, at 3:10 pm in the athletic lounge near the gym. All interested students are invited to attend. Please contact Coach Beverly Hicks at beverlyhicks22@gmail.com with questions.


Due to possible thunderstorms, today's middle school soccer game has been moved to tomorrow, Wednesday, May 17 at 4:30 pm at Voyager.


May 18 and 19 and May 22-26 will be $1 Jeans Days. The donations will support instructional technology.

Bulldogs performed well in this year’s Elks Lodge Americanism Essay Contest. The theme this year was “What is Your American Dream?”
District Winners in Division II (6th grade) were First Place, Kate Puryear; Second Place – Adalee Barker, and Third Place – Kate Lappin.
District Winners in Division III (7th/8th grade) were First Place – Gavin Walker; Second Place – Serenity Grinstead, and Third Place – Alivia Ragland.
Adalee Barker earned Second Place in the State Division II and Alivia Ragland earned Second Place in the State Division III competition.

Cape Hatteras will play Roxboro Community School at RCS athletic field on Monday, May 15, at 5 pm. The admission fee is $7.
**RCS Athletic Passes are not permitted


High School Student Council will have a brief interest meeting Monday May 15, after school, in room 201 for those interested in joining us next year. We would love to have students from all rising freshman to seniors for the 2023-24 school year.
