
Two of our RCS students are spending three evenings this week being Minnie and Mickey Mouse for Long Memorial Preschool's graduation events. Community service can be so much fun!



NCHSAA 2nd Round Women’s Soccer Playoffs
Roxboro Community School will play at Bear Grass Charter School on Thursday, May 18, at 6 pm. The admission fee is $7.


We are so #bulldogproud of our Middle School Battle of the Books students! They read 16 books from different genres.


A brief high school coed cross country interest meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 17, at 3:10 pm in the athletic lounge near the gym. All interested students are invited to attend. Please contact Coach Beverly Hicks at beverlyhicks22@gmail.com with questions.


Due to possible thunderstorms, today's middle school soccer game has been moved to tomorrow, Wednesday, May 17 at 4:30 pm at Voyager.


May 18 and 19 and May 22-26 will be $1 Jeans Days. The donations will support instructional technology.

Bulldogs performed well in this year’s Elks Lodge Americanism Essay Contest. The theme this year was “What is Your American Dream?”
District Winners in Division II (6th grade) were First Place, Kate Puryear; Second Place – Adalee Barker, and Third Place – Kate Lappin.
District Winners in Division III (7th/8th grade) were First Place – Gavin Walker; Second Place – Serenity Grinstead, and Third Place – Alivia Ragland.
Adalee Barker earned Second Place in the State Division II and Alivia Ragland earned Second Place in the State Division III competition.

Cape Hatteras will play Roxboro Community School at RCS athletic field on Monday, May 15, at 5 pm. The admission fee is $7.
**RCS Athletic Passes are not permitted


High School Student Council will have a brief interest meeting Monday May 15, after school, in room 201 for those interested in joining us next year. We would love to have students from all rising freshman to seniors for the 2023-24 school year.


Today is Donna Ingram Day at RCS! Our retiring middle school principal was honored in royal fashion this morning by staff and students. She will be missed by all, but we wish her much happiness in the next chapter of life. #bulldogproud #welovemrsingram

We are #bulldogproud of RCS teachers Ashley Bailey and Keegan Storrs, both of whom have served as North Carolina Charter Schools Teacher of the Year. Today, they attended a reception at the Executive Mansion in Raleigh honoring Teachers of the Year and Principals of the Year for 2020 through 2023.


The RCS Bulldog Blooms Club received first place awards from the Garden Club of North Carolina in categories including Civic Development/Beautification and Horticulture. Bulldog Blooms was also recognized as Club of the Year. During the Garden Club of North Carolina awards ceremony, high school member Abigail Smith received first place honors for her Cardinal drawing. Middle school member Adalee Barker took first place for her Bluebird drawing and middle school member Ben Henderson received first place for his Cardinal drawing. Bulldog Blooms is a youth gardening club chartered under the Roxboro Gardening Club. #bulldogproud





Teacher Appreciation Week spoiling continues at RCS! Thank you to the family of CeCe and Layla Fitzgerald for the massages. And thank you to the families of CeCe and Layla Fitzgerald, Kendall Rogers and Riley Young for the sweet treats. The massages were by Leslie Howren at Serenity Salon of Roxboro and the mini bundt cakes were from Nothing Bundt Cakes.
