High school boys' basketball tryouts will be on Monday, October 24 from 3:30 to 5 pm at the RCS Gym. Interested athletes must have physical and all other athletic packet info uploaded to https://www.dragonflymax.com/ If you are playing another sport and unable to attend the tryout, please contact Coach Bettendorf at bettendorfjl@roxborocs.org. There will also be OPTIONAL workouts at Helena Gym (295 Helena-Moriah Rd Timberlake, NC 27583) on Monday, October 17 through Thursday, October 20, 4-6 pm.

Girls' middle school softball workouts will start on Tuesday, October 4 from 3:30 until 5pm at Bushy Fork Ballfield, 7901 Burlington Rd Hurdle Mills. Athletes will need to complete information on Dragonfly to participate.

The High School Journalism Club interest meeting will be Wednesday, October 5, at 3:05 in room 220. If you enjoy photography, graphic design, or writing, this club is perfect for you! Students will have the opportunity to learn about all three of these skills while applying their knowledge through various interesting activities and projects throughout the year. Reminder: We have a limited number of extra PSAT tests for any 10th graders who want to take the exam on October 25. DELAYED! The RCS Scholastic Book Fair, scheduled to begin Monday, October 3, will be delayed because, due to today's weather, the materials will not be delivered. We hope to start the fair on Tuesday or Wednesday next week, but won't know for sure until Monday. If you volunteered to help us on Monday, thank you! We will update you on plans as soon as we hear from Scholastic. In the meantime, please stay dry and safe.
Strawbridge will be at RCS on Thursday, October 27 to take grades 6-11 pictures. Senior make-up pictures will be taken that day as well.
