Friday, October 21 will be a Jeans Day and everyone is asked to wear pink in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. HOSA will hand out pink ribbons again this year. It is also Purple Pinky Day in support of Polio Research. The $2 donation for Jeans Day will go toward the 9th Grade Field Trip.

The RCS Pumpkin Painting Contest and the Apple Dessert Bake Off will be hosted by Art Club and Bulldog Blooms on October 26 at 3 pm.
There is a $5 entry fee due by October 21 for the pumpkin painting contest and can be paid to Mrs. Jill Clayton or Mrs. Bettendorf. Entry form for the dessert bake off is due by October 21.
Desserts for the Apple Dessert Bake Off must be in the dining hall by 3 pm on October 26 for judging. Due to allergies, desserts should be nut-free.
There will be prizes awarded for both contests

Like math? Want to be challenged? Join the RCS middle school Math Counts Club! The first meeting will be Wednesday, October 26, from 3 to 3:30 pm in room 125.

Join us as we honor the more than 130,000 American Indians who call North Carolina home, including our own Sappony Tribe here in Person County.


Mrs. Connor's students completed a Gallery Walk this week! Last week they researched topics of the Solar System then made websites and models from their research. On Monday and Tuesday, they used the models and websites created to answer a set of questions about each topic of the Solar System.
